Rhythm and Rides '25: 10 Days. 2,066 Miles. One Grand Adventure.

In June 2025, I set out from New York City on a 10-day, 2,066-mile motorcycle journey to the BMW MOA National Rally in Lebanon, Tennessee and back. The ride covered 8 states—NY, NJ, PA, MD, WV, VA, KY, and TN—and brought me through fog-shrouded mountains, sweeping backroads, fierce rainstorms, and brutal summer heat.

This wasn’t just about the destination—it was about the ride itself. The roads. The people. The stories. And the quiet moments that come when you’re miles from home, with nothing but your thoughts and the hum of your engine.

I’ve documented the entire journey in a five-part video series. Each episode captures a different leg of the trip—from the early excitement of leaving NYC to the camaraderie of the rally, and finally, the long, sweltering ride back home. I hope you’ll watch them all.

Itinerary

Day 1-2: NYC to Elkins, WV

Leaving NYC behind, I wind through Pennsylvania and Maryland into the Alleghenies, dodging rain and finding rhythm on scenic byways.

Day 3: Elkins to Beckley, WV

A thrilling day in the West Virginia mountains—fog, rain, and twisties. I ride The Talon, visit New River Gorge, and share stories with fellow riders.

Days 4–5: Beckley, WV to Cookeville, TN

From sweeping backroads to The Dragon Slayer, this leg features Kentucky’s lush hills, Cumberland Gap, and connections with new friends.

Days 6-7: The Rally in Lebanon, TN

Two days at the BMW MOA Rally—hot temps, good food, great conversations, inspiring presentations, and unforgettable moments like the Wall of Death and the police rodeo demo.

Days 8–10: Cookeville, TN to NYC

The long, sweltering ride home. Over 900 miles in triple-digit heat, reflections on the journey, and dreams of future rides.
